St. Paul Society

 St. Pauls is community-based non-profit, non-commercial, non-political organization established in 1997 with the aim of working to uplift the poorest segments of the society in Islamabad, Pakistan.  St. Paul Society assists communities, families, and individuals regardless of their religion, faith, race, sex, or creed by supply food, clothing, shoes, medicines, medical supplies, and sponsorship of orphan children.

St. Paul's works through an extensive network of partners in may parts of the world, providing humanitarian relief and development assistance in the fields of health and HIV/AIDS, peace and justice, education, agriculture, microfinance and emergency response.

We provide the maximum professional education and training of the workers in various fields and support their work scientifically and practically, through adequate literature and other material. St. Paul Society playing an effective and leading role in the development of poor youth in the communities in these areas in Pakistan.

St. Paul's also  provides assistance to the needy, both in a material and spiritual way, through person-to-person contact. It seeks, in a spirit of justice and charity and by person-to-person involvement of its members, to help those who are suffering.

Person-to-person involvement is essential to St. Paul.  Helping can include any assistance that promotes human dignity and integrity. The Society is concerned not only with relieving need, but also with addressing the situations that cause it.  St. Paul Society serves persons regardless of creed, opinion, color, caste, and origin which might include immigrants, transients, orphans, the abandoned or rejected, or any who find themselves among others who are indifferent or hostile.

The Society often encounters situations where it could extend its financial resources if there were a bank of volunteers with special talents that could be called upon for help. Examples, not limited to these alone, include legal, medical, dental, financial (tax, accounting, etc.), electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc. Meetings are held monthly in offices of St. Paul’s.

provides emergency assistance, including food, medicine and clothing to individuals in need around the world. We also operate several long-term developmental programs.

St. Pauls Objectives:

v     To work for the development of impoverished communities, focusing the Women, children and youth.

v      To work to impact the sense of hopelessness and to change the status of those who are morally bankrupt. 
v      To work to educate and interpret the real issues that cause hunger and poverty with all sectors of society. 

v     To provide emergency relief with the resources available in time of disaster on national and provincial scale.

v     To work for disadvantaged young people opportunities to fulfill their potential and move towards an independent & positive future.

v      To work with those who struggle each day with the realities of basis survival 
v      by supporting direct relief efforts through grants, loans, and technical assistance.

v     To promote economic growth, increase employment, improve health and education services and reduce poverty.

v     To provide primary preventive and curatives health.

v     To establish community based Academic and technical schools, for the promotion of education at grass root level.

v     To conduct participatory research action for the needs assessment so that problems could be solved strategically with involvement of communities.

 

St. Paul’s offers opportunities to children to help them prepare for their future. Formal education, non-formal education, guided recreation, skills training, and health monitoring are all part of the program. Supplemental food and medical are also are provided as needed on priority basis.
